Russell Brand Wont Be Banned But Can't Make Money From YouTube Either.

Russell Brand's YouTube channel was demonetised after serious charges were levelled against him by multiple women.

YouTube's EMEA VP Pedro Pina said Russell Brand should not be able to “make a living” through the platform.

On the question of banning Russell Brand from YouTube, Pina said "We don't tolerate harmful content. Right now, from our point of view, we don’t have harmful content by Russell Brand.”

Russell Brand was accused of spreading medical misinformation last year and had one of his videos taken down by YouTube.

In retaliation, Russell Brand had quit YouTube and joined a rival video sharing platform citing censorship issues.

Russell Brand currently has more than 2 million subscibers and hosts weekly podcasts on his YouTube channel.

In the coming weeks, YouTube's EMEA VP Pedro Pina said, if they realise they need to take further action on Russell Brand's YouTube channel, they will consider it.
